Of my four y
ears at C-M, one of my best memories is my trip to Tecaboca, Texas for the Marianist L.I.F.E. Camp. Travelling with my fellow L.I.F.E. leaders and friends, I learned that each of us had something different to offer our home L.I.F.E. We had fun, shared something of ourselves with each other and brought back what we learned to make Chaminade-Madonna L.I.F.E. group 2008 the best. C-M has certainly prepared me for my studies at the University of Central Florida with my major in Engineering.

From all of the memories I have of my four years at C-M, the one that sticks out among all others is when I went to Washington D.C. for the 35th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade March for Life. Spending four days in the near freezing weather of our nation’s capitol with four classmates and two teachers is something I will never forget. An image which will be forever etched in my mind is holding the banner and looking back at the seemingly endless crowd. It was an experience which gave me a new outlook on life and will always have an effect on me. I am currently at Florida State University studying communications.

My four years at Chaminade-Madonna have allowed me to develop and showcase the abilities that God has given me. Not only have I been able to develop my skills for the next level in a challenging academic environment, but I have also been able to go through many other challenges in order to become the well-rounded individual that I want to be. Playing soccer has helped me realize what hard work, discipline, and cooperation can accomplish. I was also challenged to get involved in the community by sharing my time and talents. Lastly, the relationships that I have formed with my classmates and teachers have helped me grow socially. They have helped me realize that my character is an important aspect in my life. With all these opportunities and experiences in hand, I have proudly taken them with me to Dartmouth.

Looking back on my experiences at Chaminade-Madonna, I realize that I have grown to fulfill Chaminade-Madonna's Mission Statement to be educated in the heart and soul, as well as in mind and body. I have made many friendships and relationships which I will strive to maintain. I have had the opportunity to reinforce my faith through Chaminade-Madonna's religious activities and retreats. Through a demanding curriculum, my teachers have challenged me to grow mentally. Likewise, through Chaminade-Madonna's emphasis on physical fitness, my coaches on track, cross-country, basketball and baseball have assisted my growth physically. I believe Chaminade-Madonna has helped prepare me for college at Florida State University and for what lies ahead.

Each of my four years at Chaminade-Madonna has blessed me with many wonderful memories. The family spirit at C-M has given me the opportunity to form many lasting relationships. Through classes, clubs and extracurricular activities, this school has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and open up to new experiences. Chaminade-Madonna has also presented to me new challenges, opportunities and achievements. With a mission to educate the mind, heart, body and soul, this school has contributed to my development as an individual. Through its rigorous curriculum, C-M has not only challenged my ability to retain information but also my drive for success. This school has taught me to never become complacent with the current and to always strive for the better. I have no doubt that Chaminade-Madonna has prepared me for the pre-medical track at the University of Florida.
